Branding and communication design for Workshop01, a design studio re-inventing work wear for the new world of work.
The W01 brand is modern and represents quality but with a human side. To represent these concepts, I united a “W” shape that was inspired by the strokes of a calligrapher’s broad nib pen – hence the human, manual side interpreted in a modern way. The “01” was designed from very simple, thinner shapes to contrast with the W and give the logo a contemporary look.
All visual language for the brand, especially the choice of a very clean typography juxtaposed with analogue elements, follows this idea of uniting a contemporary feel with a creative, human side.
