Print exercises

Some print exercises using several analogue techniques.

The Print Exchange challenged printmakers from around the globe to create a print series inspired by the theme “The drive home”. For my proposal I created a linocut composition with typography and an abstract background.
I used a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien that beautifuly expressed what I wanted to convey – you can drive straight home, or you can wonder around and enjoy what surrounds you. Not all those who wander are lost.
April 25th is the day we portuguese celebrate the anniversary of the 1974 revolution that freed the country from dictatorship. The red carnation became the symbol of this revolution.
For 2014, and in response to the political and economical climate we live in, Oficina do Cego challenged their members to create “political” posters to be put on the streets. These are my contributions for the project.
